When there are no city, regional or local buses in your area, you can make use of Regiotaxi / Deeltaxi (regional taxi) or Taxbus. These small buses and taxis drive door-to-door, but can also take you to/from a bus stop or train station.
You must call at least an hour in advance to reserve a seat. The taxi may also pick up or drop off other passengers. This may result in longer travel times.
A Regiotaxi is accessible to everyone. People receiving support from the Wmo (Wet Maatschappelijke Ondersteuning/Social Support Act) are eligible for special discounted rates. More information is available at the local council’s Wmo counter. In Southeast Brabant you need a Wmo-pass to access a Regiotaxi. The exceptions are Deurne and Helmond, where the Taxbus is available for public door-to-door transport without a Wmo-pass.
